Marion “Mary” Hammock, 61 of Cushing passed from this world November 11, 2013 at her home. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 2:00 p.m. at the First Free Will Baptist Church in Cushing. Interment will follow at Fairlawn Cemetery, Cushing, Ok.
Services are under the direction of Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Cushing, Ok.
Mary was born December 24, 1951 to Kenneth and Betty Lea (Harris) Frisbie. She grew up in Cushing, graduating from Cushing High School in 1970. While growing up, she attended Oak Street Baptist Church. Mary worked for Resthaven Nursing Home for twenty three years. She married the love of her life Robert Hammock on September 17, 1991 in Cushing. Mary began working for Stillwater High School as a custodian for a few years before moving to the Perkins-Tryon Schools as a custodian for the past nine years. Along with working for the school, she worked as a caregiver for Panhandle Opportunities for seven years. She enjoyed traveling with her husband to his various jobs. Mary liked going to the lake and being outdoors. She loved spending time with her family.
Mary is survived by her husband Robert Hammock of the home, daughters Stephanie Flint of Cushing, Lisa Hicks of Cushing, Angie Hicks of Cushing, Christy McEntire of Cushing, step-children Brian Hammock of Florida, Robert Hammock Jr. of Sand Springs, Mandy Hammock of Cushing, brother Mike Frisbie and wife Ginger of Sapulpa, twin sister Sharon Worthy and husband Johnny of Cushing, eleven grandchildren and one great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Kenny Frisbie.
